Keeping the Ku theme moving along this poster dates from 1990 and comes from the Ku Ibiza Best Years Facebook group 1978-1990. Like the way the designer spelled Rocky’s name wrong and also got the classic graffiti emblem the flying eyeball in there. There are some amazing photos and posters in the group if you want to see more.

While on the subject of Boy’s Own and all things related here’s another piece from the same i-D as the Rocky and Diesel piece with Jah Wobble talking about hooking up with Weatherall for ‘Bomba’ and a nice ad from the Boy’s Own crew. Sample quote – ‘Ream Italian house music at it’s pumping best.’

This one comes from i-D magazine November 1990. Good chart from the boys.

Taken from the December 1990 issue when Pure was in full swing at the Milk Bar. Nice bit of product placement from Mr Rampling in the chart there.

Straight steal from Shawn Stussy’s blog – here’s London’s chapter of the International Stussy Tribe in 1990 when Stussy was alive and kicking. As he says, ‘When it meant something, the original London chapter of buddies that kind of gravitated into a loose knit crew… Left to right, Michael Kopelman, James Lebon, Mick Jones, Barnzley and Alex Turnbull… This was a period when all this seemed so right, not strained or sponsored, done for the right reasons… I am very proud to have had a hand in this period of time, think of the wave that has followed…’. Classic style that’s style holding up today.
